High-profile foreigners, including Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump, flew to India for billionaire heir Anant Ambani’s lavish pre-wedding celebration, which concluded on Sunday.
Approximately 1,200 people from Silicon Valley, Bollywood, and other areas attended the three-day event, which featured performances by pop sensation Rihanna and magician David Blaine. Actor Shah Rukh Khan and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar were among the numerous Indian celebrities pictured there.
Ambani is the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in Asia, whose net worth is estimated by Forbes to be $117 billion. The 28-year-old is a director at an energy company run by his grandfather’s Indian multinational, Reliance.
Despite the fact that Ambani and his 29-year-old partner Radhika Merchant aren’t being married until July, everything was extravagant at the pre-wedding celebration. A copy of the planning sheet that was sent to invitees was seen by Reuters, which said that 500 dishes made by about 100 chefs were given to the guests.
The major oil refinery of Reliance was located near Jamnagar, in the western state of Gujarat, where the festivities over the weekend were held.
Less than ten planes per day are normally handled by the city’s airport, however there has been an increase in activity. Airport officials announced on Saturday on X that about 130 planes had arrived for the spectacular.
According to Reuters, attendees had access to hair stylists, makeup artists, and drapists as well as chartered aircraft from New Delhi and Mumbai.
According to the Reliance Foundation, the humanitarian arm of the Ambani family business, visually challenged artisans were employed to make candles for guests, and weavers were used to create “a tapestry of dreams” for the wedding.
The NGO further stated that a brand-new Hindu temple complex is being constructed just for the wedding and will eventually be made public.
Over fifty thousand villagers attended a communal supper held by the Ambani family on Wednesday.
Salman Khan, who goes by many aliases, including Prem and even “Dabangg,” made the decision to perform a particular song for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant since the actor is close with the groom’s family. Unsurprisingly, the actor—who is renowned for his intense on-screen performances—decided to replicate the same excitement as he took the sangeet stage at the Mela Rouge celebration organized by the Ambanis and Merchants. Popular songs from his movies, such “Didi Tera” from Hum Aapke Hain Koun! and “Tenu Leke” from Salaam-E-Ishq, were performed by the actor. He also performed a dance to the well-known wedding song from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, “Saajanji Ghar Aaye,” which featured both him and Kajol.
Shah Rukh Khan was most recently spotted in Jamnagar, Gujarat, where he was there for the grand three-day pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. But according to Ram Charan and his spouse Upasana’s makeup artist, SRK called the Telugu actor ‘idli vada’ and was disrespectful to him. She left the gathering shortly after that.
Zeba Hassan, a makeup artist, shared the video of Shah Rukh inviting Ram Charan to the stage on her Instagram story. The ‘RRR’ star’s invitation to the stage and SRK’s comment about ‘idli vada’ offended her, she wrote.
